Wesh W Dahr: 100/100 Round 02

The poster was designed as part of a larger series created for Wesh w Dahr, a bilingual leporello design magazine that visually and conceptually explores the relationship between the past and the present. While the entire publication is bilingual, the name and structure play on temporal opposites: Wesh (what’s in front) represents the present, and Dahr (what’s behind) symbolizes the past. These two timeframes are expressed through a mirrored layout — Wesh appears upright and prominent, while Dahr is flipped upside down and reversed, inviting readers to physically turn the publication to engage with both perspectives. The magazine features artists and designers from both eras, offering insight into their work across various fields of art and design — from typography and illustration to architecture, fashion, and more. It doesn’t simply celebrate the past, but instead creates a space where past and present actively converse with one another. This conceptual dialogue is brought to life in the animated version of the poster. In it, a word from one era extends and pushes into the space of the other, and vice versa — showing how each era influences, challenges, and reshapes the other. The motion highlights a constant push and pull, a layered relationship that is never static.
